POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Planner is responsible for managing and supporting construction schedules across live projects while developing tender schedules for upcoming projects using pre-construction information. This role ensures efficient planning, reporting, and schedule management through close collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and update the Integrated Management Schedule for multiple projects using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
Report schedule progress and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with the construction team and contractors to assess actual progress and planned construction methodologies.
Prepare delay analysis reports and propose recovery strategies or delay mitigation measures.
Develop detailed schedules, including reports, extracts, and short-term schedules.
Communicate with vendors to confirm lead times and delivery dates.
Implement improvements and innovations in the scheduling and planning processes.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Degree in a construction-related field with training in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
Experience managing large construction projects with strong technical and scheduling expertise.
Commercial awareness of construction contracts, including identifying and documenting changes and delays.
Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills, able to work cooperatively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Highly organized and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and planning abilities.
Proficient in contract knowledge and safety awareness, ensuring compliance and effective project management.
