Karvo Companies, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting heavy highway and civil construction projects by providing accurate field measurements, layout, and documentation to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform construction layout and staking for roadway, bridge, and sitework projects
• Operate surveying equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings
• Collect field data and verify measurements for grading, utilities, and structural work
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure accurate project layout
• Maintain survey records, field notes, and documentation
• Assist with as-built drawings and project documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies on job sites

Qualifications

• Experience in construction surveying or civil surveying preferred
• Knowledge of GPS, total station, and surveying software
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
• Experience in heavy highway or infrastructure construction
• Familiarity with ODOT projects and specifications
