Senior Product Owner (f/m/x)

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Our IB&AFCC team is responsible for protecting Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.

The Agile Product Owner is part of the Anti-Fraud Bribery and Corruption delivery Tribe, overseeing the delivery of the AFBC Onboarding & Certification Joint Ventures platform within ABC.   

The Product Owner will act as an entrepreneur, strategist, technical visionary, cross-functional team leader, and client advocate. He/She will be defining the new product to be built and managing its development, launch, and ongoing improvement. To fulfil these responsibilities, this role leads a cross-functional team. He/She will work together with several SMEs to define the priorities, identify and coordinate the resolution of issues, coordinate implementation of the changes, communicate with wider team and different stakeholders, and ensure the backlog is well managed in terms of priorities, dependencies and delivery timelines with a strong focus on high-quality delivery.

About the Agile Product Owner Role

Responsibilities

• Develop product vision, requirements and roadmap in key focus areas
• Work closely with the internal clients to plan and prioritize in line with expectation and needs. Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value
• Work closely squad members to develop technical solutions in line with priorities
• Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Act as a leader, instilling confidence to the overall squad and being front-runner and example for the whole team
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Development of professional working relationships with various stakeholder groups across all seniority levels

Skills

• Google Cloud Platform experience
• High experience with migration of applications in Cloud
• Experience of working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum, Kanban, XP or SAFe
• Excellent understanding of client/user needs, business dynamics and key challenges and how these drive potential solutions
• Experience in identifying inefficiencies in the value chain and processes, designing solutions and implementing the solution with the support from all relevant stakeholders
• Experience in change management activities to increase user adoption and hands-on ideas for adoption support
• Capable to connect the dots beyond own focus area considering end to end processes
• Experience leading product and/or cross functional teams
• Able to coordinate prioritization in a complex multi-geographical context
• Strong product instinct to build great product vision, product roadmap and competitive analysis
• Knowledge and understanding of technical engineering best practices (e.g. test-driven development, continuous integration, etc.) 
• Ability to work under pressure, manage client expectations effective and not get overwhelmed by client pressures on team 
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and fast changing environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at different organizational level with both technical and non-technical people 
• Ability to influence senior client business and IT executives on transforming towards agile
• Ability to move between strategic discussions with senior client leaders to tackle on the ground agile coaching with teams
• Degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent degree 
• Self-motivated with ability to work in virtual teams and matrix/global organizations including appreciation of different cultures during collaborating and sharing
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving experience and ability to grasp new concepts, provide insights and solutions.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Highly organized with ability to commit and priorities work duties and tasks.
• High degree of proving soft skills while working with both IT and business colleagues.
• Ability to influence and motivate other team members and stakeholders through strong dialogue, facilitation, and persuasiveness.
• Excellent communications and documentation/presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Degree from an accredited college or university with a preference for Computer Science (or IT related)
• Product Management certification is a plus (and/or relevant work experience).
