Management Level:
P4SUMMARY: The Associate Manager Innovation is a key contributor to the overall innovation team responsible for leading cross functional teams in planning execution and analysis of innovation initiatives to include product changes. The innovation role includes development of new product and packaging ideas, overall innovation pipelines, P&L creation and go-to-market strategies to achieve corporate and brand volume profit and share objectives.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written verbal communication and interpersonal skills to influence across the business unit, cross functional teams and as well as effectively coordinating external and internal resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts project meetings with cross-functional teams to achieve scope and ensure business objectives are met on time.
Problem solving through roadblocks and risks that would impede progress are required.
Support manager to develop innovation pipeline and innovation strategies for assigned brand categories, channels, and customers, reflecting overall corporate and business unit goals.
Analyze consumer operator and market data and trends to identify insights and translate into innovation initiatives to drive results.
Manage strategic customer initiatives with a focus on agility and speed-to-market.
Lead and participate in development and execution of product and packaging innovation projects including concept development, feasibility, validation, product and packaging, R&D business proposal and approval, and project execution.
Manage innovation process into launch phase including forecasting with sales channel team, attending initial production coordination of test markets and final coordination of product launch including inventory builds and initial shipments.
Work in our specification and graphics systems to advance projects along with the cross functional team.
Collaborate closely with Insights, R&D, Channel Marketing, and the Business Unit to generate new ideas, develop research and development plans, evaluate concepts and products, and refine our innovation offerings to meet consumer and operator needs while establishing clear points of differentiation versus competitors.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or BBA preferred.
Experience: 2 plus years relevant experience. Marketing, innovation, or sales experience preferred but not required.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills are required
Special Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are required. Strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is required.
TRAVEL:
Travel will be required depending on projects-Approx. 6-8 times a year
