Description
We're seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing and production business based in the Scenic Rim region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern automated equipment, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and become a valued member of a collaborative maintenance team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment through preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding and new equipment installations.
This is a fast-paced, technical role offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work on automation projects and ongoing site improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Install, commission and test new machinery and equipment.
- Modify, relocate and upgrade existing plant and equipment.
- Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to improve equipment performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Mentor apprentices and assist with developing team capability where required.
- Liaise with external contractors and equipment manufacturers when required.
The Candidate
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- Current Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with automated machinery and production equipment.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Dual Trade qualifications (Mechanical/Electrical) will be highly regarded but are not essential.
