Our Team

Four Seasons Resort Nevis is seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef to join our dynamic Culinary Team. We are looking for someone with excitement and dedication in serving our guests. Satisfying our guests depends on the united efforts of many; we are most effective when we work together cooperatively, respecting each other’s contribution and importance.

Your Job

Are you excited about presenting the most delectable, premium pastry treats in a luxury, high-end environment? This position may be the perfect fit for you!

As the Assistant Pastry Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to inspire our team and run operations seamlessly. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Supervise, train, and lead a talented pastry team consisting of pastry cooks, ensuring a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.

  • Operational Autonomy: Confidently take full ownership of the department and manage operations independently in the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef.

  • Production & Quality Control: Prepare, taste, and test an exquisite variety of desserts, breads, cookies, and pastries for all hotel restaurant outlets to ensure consistent, five-star quality.

  • Artistic Presentation: Expertly plate, portion, and garnish desserts to ensure breathtaking presentation every single time.

  • Scheduling: As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, you will maintain flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

About You

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and energetic professional who brings both technical mastery and a positive attitude to the kitchen. Our ideal candidate:

  • Is well-versed in the fine art of pastry crafting, cake decorating, and modern pastry trends.

  • Assists effortlessly in the baking and execution of high-volume cakes, cookies, and mini pastries.

  • Works fast and efficiently under pressure, with a proven ability to handle large-scale volume and banquet orders.

  • Is skilled in filling and icing cakes, with hands-on experience using decorating tools such as an edible image machine, dough sheeter, and airbrush.

  • Possesses the physical stamina to professionally deliver tiered cakes, lift 50+ lbs regularly, and remain standing for extended periods of time.

  • Demonstrates a cheerful, positive attitude, works exceptionally well with others, loves food, and has a continuous desire to learn and grow!
