Special Projects Coordinator (Exceptional Children and Health Services)

Purpose and Scope

This position provides staff training, support for Health Services initiatives across the district (COVID Tracing, Immunization compliance, district wide CPR instruction), back to school district orientations for nurses, district staff, support for supplemental/school nurses, community health presentations and district health fairs.

Essential Job Functions

 

Identify suggest and promote health services topics to assist with the management of chronic health conditions while serving as a resource that encourages quality outcomes

Coordinates, trains and provides technical assistance to staff, families and focus groups at assigned district/school locations

Maintains and builds relationships with internal district partners and external community partners in efforts to implement Health Services program activities with an emphasis on chronic health conditions in the school environment.

Works closely with all Health Services Managers, Special Project Coordinators to encourage best practices.

Assist with the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations.

Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical and Social Science, and Public Health-Related Disciplines or related field; Plus two (2) years of related experience in related field; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience totaling six (6) years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).

 

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
