Job Description
As a Security Guard Patrol Driver in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. - Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus grounds, parking areas, walkways, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders regarding security-related issues, suspicious behavior, or maintenance concerns.
- Support campus operations during classes, events, and/or after-hours periods by providing directions, assisting with access control, and following post orders for assigned areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
