University of Washington Athletics (Softball Program) has an outstanding opportunity for Director of Softball Operations to join their team.

About this Opportunity

The Director of Softball Operations plays a key role in supporting the program’s success by ensuring seamless operations and an elite student-athlete experience.

Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Director of Softball Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Division I Softball program. This role ensures the program operates efficiently, professionally, and in full compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University regulations. The position plays a critical role in supporting competitive success by enabling coaches to focus on athlete development, recruiting strategy, and leadership

This position is based on campus at the University of Washington and requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively with the team.

This position manages student employees, team managers, and hourly operational staff.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics, or as a former student-athlete

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with technology and video systems

  • Strong organizational, communication, and professional writing skills

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively

  • Experience coordinating logistics, events, or operations in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Experience with video production, graphic design, or digital content creation

  • Experience with NCAA compliance and recruiting processes

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational systems

Working Conditions

  • Requires frequent evening and weekend work

  • Requires travel for competitions and recruiting activities

  • Work is performed in both office and athletic facility environments

  • Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed for events and travel coordination

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$80,004.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$87,996.00 annual

Other Compensation:

- Taxable benefits include tickets to UW Intercollegiate home competitions. - Non-local candidates may be eligible for a moving allowance.
