Responsibilities
HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support a project in Marietta, PA. This role will be responsible for helping implement and manage site-specific health and safety requirements while working closely with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors in an active industrial/pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor work activities to ensure safe work practices and compliance
- Support contractor onboarding, orientation, and safety training requirements
- Review project-specific safety plans and assist with contractor safety prequalification
- Conduct field observations, inspections, audits, and safety performance reviews
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with site safety programs including permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, crane and hoist activities, electrical safety, working at heights, PPE, hazardous materials, fire/life safety, and emergency response
- Document non-conformance issues and help drive corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience required
- OSHA 30 and 510 certification required
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
- Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
- Excellent verbal and written skills
