Maintenance Worker III

• Perform various semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction, drainage, and/or repair work in streets, parks, bridges, or other public areas within the County. 
• Participate in preventive maintenance, emergency repair, and new construction. 
• Perform regular chemical herbicide applications and maintain records of work activities. 
• May also perform specialized maintenance repair work on hand tools. 
• Perform physical labor in varied weather conditions. 
• Must be available to work a five (5) day schedule that may include nights and weekends in emergency situations. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED, and 
• At least three (3) years’ experience in general maintenance; or 
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience. 
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. 
• Must be able to drive a truck with an attached trailer. 
• Must safely operate and maintain related vehicles, tools, and equipment. 
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. 
• Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours.
