Job Description – WASH BAY ATTENDANT (Reefer DepartmenT)
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Washing, cleaning, drying, and inspecting containers for presentation to PPECB inspection for cleanliness accreditation
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Inspection and presenting of containers for PPECB inspection.
- Washing and drying containers.

JOB ACTIVITIES
- Washing, drying and preparing containers for inspection by PPECB inspector
- Type of wash, water, detergent, or chemical wash is determined from.
the observations of the pre-wash inspection.
- Treat all Reefer containers with bad odours.
- Presenting containers for PPECB inspection.
- Accompanying PPECB representative during container cleanliness inspections opening doors
- The inspection outcome is recorded on a standard PPECB document noting passes giving reason for failures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Grade `12 / Matric!
In house training will be given
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence.
REASONING ABILITY:
Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
