Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for Supports the Sales organization and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology. Serve as a key technical training resource in the assigned area.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Power Business to be based at BANGALORE, India. 

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Technical Training & Knowledge Management Develop and deliver internal and external technical training programs on products, systems, and services, including periodic training sessions for sales teams, customers, and channel partners, while maintaining training records and documentation.

• Technical Solutions & Customer Support Lead technical analysis and diagnostic studies to identify and recommend the most appropriate solutions that address customer requirements and application challenges.

• Technical Presentations & Demonstrations Prepare and conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions on complex product and application topics for both internal stakeholders and customers.

• Compliance, Safety & Governance Ensure adherence to ABB’s Code of Conduct, core values, safety standards, policies, and statutory requirements while supporting continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance.

• People Leadership & Team Development Build, lead, and develop an effective technical team by ensuring appropriate organization, staffing, capability development, and coaching of direct and indirect team members in line with HR policies and business objectives.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) with 12–15 years of relevant experience in the Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear industry.

• Solid technical knowledge in the selection, application, and diagnosis and resolution of LV switchgear products, including ACBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, and power distribution solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in handling customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis, and executing effective corrective and preventive actions to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Demonstrated capability in Technical Training Portfolio Management, including designing and delivering products, applications, and technical training programs for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Deep understanding of Market Intelligence, business trends, competitive analysis, and customer requirements to support business development and product adoption strategies.

• Direct experience in Technical Support, Application Engineering, Solution Sales, and Customer Experience Management, with the ability to provide value-added technical services and help grow the business.

• Well-developed communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a deep commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and cross-functional collaboration.
