About this Role

Quanta Services is seeking an experienced Manager to join the OneStream Center of Excellence (CoE) Finance team, reporting to the Associate Director, OneStream Center of Excellence. This role operates within Quanta's complex, decentralized organization with multiple operating units and diverse financial systems and business processes. The Manager partners with Corporate Accounting, Consolidations, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and Divisional Accounting to support and improve OneStream solutions for financial consolidation, planning, reporting, and compliance. The position balances Financial Accounting and FP&A responsibilities and requires direct FP&A experience to strengthen the CoE's budgeting and forecasting expertise.

The Manager provides functional leadership and hands-on systems support for financial close, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, including end-user support, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and delivery of approved enhancements in partnership with technical teams. The Manager leads assigned cross-functional initiatives, recommends improvements, and contributes to the OneStream roadmap under CoE leadership. This position is based in Houston, Texas (in office initially, with a hybrid schedule potentially available after six months at the manager's discretion), and initially has no direct reports.

What You'll Do

  • Support Corporate Accounting, Consolidations, FP&A, and Divisional Accounting workflows within OneStream, including financial close, budget and forecast submissions, data loads and validation, job and financial variance analysis, and management reporting and Annual Business Plan preparation;
  • Support internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance by maintaining process and control documentation, providing audit evidence, and assisting with control testing and remediation within the role's scope;
  • Independently lead assigned cross-functional system initiatives from requirements through deployment within approved scope, priorities, and change-control requirements; escalate risks and decisions requiring leadership approval;
  • Develop business cases, implementation plans, and recommendations for Finance transformation initiatives, including expected benefits, resource needs, dependencies, and risks; contribute to CoE roadmap planning;
  • Advise Finance leadership on process improvements, OneStream capabilities, and future-state requirements in partnership with CoE functional and technical leaders;
  • Identify and implement approved opportunities to automate and standardize financial processes and improve data quality, reporting reliability, and scalability;
  • Lead functional requirements gathering, document acceptance criteria, coordinate functional solution design with technical teams, and lead user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, and stakeholder adoption; validate affected processes through regression testing and follow established change-control procedures;
  • Translate accounting, consolidation, and FP&A needs into documented functional requirements, applying direct FP&A experience to support budget and forecast models, planning assumptions and drivers, scenario analysis, and actual-to-budget and forecast comparisons in partnership with Finance process owners;
  • Contribute to and apply established governance standards for metadata, hierarchies, business rules, workflows, and reporting structures; coordinate proposed changes with business owners and CoE technical teams through required approvals;
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and process flows; deliver training and support adoption of system changes;
  • Act as a liaison between Operating Unit Finance and Accounting teams and Corporate Accounting and FP&A to identify business needs and validate solutions across operating units with diverse systems and local processes while supporting common reporting and control standards; serve as an escalation point for complex functional and data issues during close, budget, and forecast cycles, investigating root causes, coordinating technical resolution, and communicating status to users;
  • Mentor analysts and junior team members within the OneStream Center of Excellence and provide functional guidance on assigned work; and
  • Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing by documenting recurring issues and resolutions and incorporating user feedback into support and training.

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or financial systems and business analysis, including experience supporting a large, complex, decentralized organization with multiple operating units and leading cross-functional initiatives in that environment;
  • Direct FP&A experience required, including hands-on responsibility for developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets and forecasts;
  • Working knowledge of financial close, consolidation, and internal control processes and procedures;
  • Demonstrated ability to translate FP&A processes, planning assumptions, and business drivers into system requirements and practical planning and reporting solutions;
  • Experience partnering directly with Finance and Accounting leadership to define and implement system and process improvements;
