Spero Health is seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to join our team in Brentwood, TN!

This role is a hybrid position with the requirement of going to our Corporate Office on a part-time basis in Brentwood, TN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:

• Post insurance and patient payments including ERA's and misc. payments.
• Sort and compile payments mailed into Corporate Office and submit/deposit into appropriate bank.
• Reconcile payments received with deposits in the billing software.  
• File all insurance and patient payment documentation onto server appropriately.
• Pull daily banking reports and issue to internal teams (identify outliers/exceptions). 
• Review and distribute correspondence from payers and patients to appropriate department.
• High revenue operations team and payer interaction; ability to effectively work within a team environment.
• Review and approve insurance and patient refunds/credit balances/payment reversals.
• Other responsibilities, as requested by Revenue Operations Management

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED required

Experience:

• Three to five years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with strong knowledge of insurance company claims processing and payment posting/cash reconciliation.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
• Knowledge of insurance billing and collections
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations, balance and reconcile figures and transcribe accurately.
• Ability to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately in fast pace environment.
