- Oversee surveying activities using laser scanners, drones and total stations, ensuring effective coordination of site teams, resources and programmes.
- Manage point-cloud processing, registration and integration of scan and drone datasets using NavVis IVION or equivalent software.
- Oversee the production and quality of measured survey outputs, including floor plans, elevations, sections, point clouds and 3D models.
- Review technical deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Manage project scopes, fee proposals, commercial requirements, invoicing and client relationships.
- Lead, mentor and develop the surveying team, promoting technical excellence, collaboration and continuous professional development.
- Drive improvements in digital surveying workflows, quality management and BIM information delivery, including ISO 19650 and UK BIM Framework requirements.
Who you are
- Have a minimum five years' experience in digital surveying, measured building surveying, reality capture, BIM or point-cloud processing within the construction industry.
- Strong practical experience of laser scanning, drone surveying and total station operations, particularly within existing buildings and construction environments.
- Be proficient in point-cloud processing, registration and alignment using NavVis IVION or equivalent software.
- Have strong understanding of measured building surveys, building geometry, levels, structural dimensions, CAD production and Revit modelling.
- You will need proven experience managing surveying projects, including fee proposals, resource planning, programmes, commercial requirements and client expectations.
- Have a good understanding of BIM processes, ISO 19650, the UK BIM Framework and digital information management.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring and developing technical teams, alongside implementing quality management systems and improving working practices.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a proactive, client-focused approach.
