Junior Embedded Test Engineer - Draper, UT

Who we’re looking for

Someone with experience in manual testing, maintenance and repair of printed circuit boards. We’re a small company and so you’ll get to wear a lot of hats such as:

• Regular manual testing of embedded systems (hardware and firmware) developed or sourced by PDK

• Repair and troubleshooting of embedded hardware

• Writing and maintaining documented hardware and firmware test procedures

• Performing qualification procedures and deep testing of third party equipment

• Maintaining and helping design custom equipment for our manufacturing facility

Creativity and being a self-starter is a requirement. If you possess these qualities and have five or more Arduinos or Raspberry pi’s driving various apparatuses in your home PDK is for you!

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience testing or developing embedded systems

• High attention to detail and a commitment to shipping a quality product

• Skilled in fine soldering of components on PCBs (Willing to train)

• Bash Shell scripting

Beneficial skills

• Experience in C/C++ development

• Experienced in Diptrace and or Eagle

• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as CouchDB

• Raspberry Pi and Arduino development

• Experience professionally installing access control, security camera or alarm systems

Experience and Education

• An associates or bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related field, working towards such a degree or possessing equivalent experience

Travel Requirement

• Traveling less than 5% of the time.

Work Location

• Our company office in Draper.
