Description
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our high-tech R&D and engineering team, where you will develop cutting-edge solutions for the next generation of semiconductor equipment.
In this role, you will work within a multidisciplinary team of top-tier engineers, pushing the boundaries of motion control accuracy, cost-of-goods, thermal stability, dynamic behavior, and mechanical robustness. You will have the freedom to innovate, the responsibility to lead, and the opportunity to influence products that shape the semiconductor industry worldwide. This position is based in Hong Kong.
What you will need
- Mechanical design of high-precision modules and systems used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
- Translate system requirements into robust mechanical concepts, detailed designs, and validated solutions.
- Develop, review, and support the team to create cost, mass and accuracy critical modules and parts.
- Perform complex analyses (e.g., FEM, thermal, vibration, dynamics) to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate closely with mechatronics, electronics, optics, and manufacturing engineering.
- Drive continuous improvement—in design quality, development processes, and product performance.
- Ensure your designs remain manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards.
What You Will Need
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the semiconductor, high-precision technology, robotics, or mechatronics industry.
- Strong experience with 3D CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or Creo, along with knowledge of simulation software.
- Solid understanding of precision engineering principles and mechanical design methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex engineering challenges.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- A structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven approach to engineering design and development.
- Passion for high-precision technology and working in a fast-paced, innovative engineering environment.
