Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed - Healthcare Site in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare rehabilitation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities in a rehabilitation hospital setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and promptly communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
