- Maintain high cutting-quality standards through precision reel and bedknife grinding, reel-to-bedknife adjustments, cutting-unit setup, and height-of-cut calibration.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related equipment issues using appropriate tools, service resources, and diagnostic technology.
- Establish and maintain accurate work orders, equipment service records, operating-hour records, maintenance schedules, and repair histories.
- Manage parts inventory, purchasing, and relationships with equipment manufacturers, dealers, and service providers while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and controlling costs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient equipment maintenance facility; follow safe repair procedures and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Assist with equipment evaluations, repair-versus-replacement decisions, annual budgeting, and long-term capital equipment replacement planning.
- Train golf course maintenance team members on proper equipment operation, daily inspections, basic troubleshooting, and equipment care to reduce operator-related damage and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate with the agronomy leadership to identify equipment needs, prioritize repairs, communicate anticipated downtime, and support daily maintenance operations, tournaments, and special events.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, equipment care, and continuous improvement.
