Join Varian's Proton Therapy team and work with one of the most advanced cancer technologies on the market.
As an Onsite Service Engineer at Oslo University Hospital Radiumhospitalet, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our Proton Therapy System - the cutting-edge equipment used to precisely target tumors while protecting healthy tissue.
Due to internal mobility, this is a backfill role within our established Proton Solutions Service Team.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform hands-on maintenance and support on the proton therapy equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues and keep the system fully functional during clinical hours.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and support regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Complete pre and post maintenance documentation within a timely manner.
Varian provides technical training on the job, including at our EMEA training facilities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical education (Bachelor’s or Technical diploma).
- Mechanical skills and understanding of electronic or electromechanical systems.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); Scandinavian language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to work shift working hours on a weekly consecutive basis.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Current Shift Working Hours: Day Shift 6:00am - 14:00. Evening Shift 13:00 - 21:00.
