Summary: Coordinates and controls the release, scheduling, and execution of production orders to support manufacturing operations, on-time delivery, and customer requirements. Serves as a key liaison between production, planning, purchasing, shipping, and customer service to ensure efficient workflow, material availability, and schedule adherence.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinate the release and management of production orders to support production schedules, customer priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Review and validate production order documentation, including bills of material (BOMs), routings, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to release.
- Create, maintain, and update production schedules, work orders, and capacity plans to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
- Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes, delays, and priorities to production leadership and other functional departments.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Production teams to identify and resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and production disruptions.
- Expedite materials, components, and production orders as needed to support customer delivery requirements and manufacturing schedules.
- Maintain accurate production data within the company's ERP/MRP system, including order status updates, scheduling information, and inventory transactions.
- Track and follow up on production orders to ensure timely completion and closure of all required documentation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for production scheduling inquiries and coordinate resolution of issues affecting production flow.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Shipping departments to support operational objectives.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to production control, scheduling processes, inventory management, and operational performance.
- Generate reports and provide production metrics, schedule status updates, and capacity information to management as required.
- Perform other production planning, scheduling, and coordination duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both.
