Sales Executive – Merchant Financing

About the client:

Our client is a leading merchant commerce omnichannel platform across India and Southeast Asia. They build and host a roster of fintech products, from digital payments to loyalty solutions. (e.g POS terminals or payment systems).

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact pre-approved client merchants (primarily by phone) to introduce the PAYs Advance product.
• Clearly and accurately explain what the product is, how it works, and the benefits to the merchant.
• Inform each merchant of their pre-approved financing limit.
• Explain the consent form - including its purpose: authorising client to share the merchant's relevant business details with client.
• Qualify merchants and focus on genuine, high-intent (hot) leads who intend to draw down - not simply collecting consent forms to hit numbers.
• Guide and assist interested merchants to complete the consent form correctly.
• Answer common merchant questions; escalate more complex queries to the relevant team.
• Follow up with merchants who have not yet completed the consent form.
• Keep accurate records of calls, outcomes, and consents in the assigned tracking system.
• Work towards weekly and monthly outreach and consent targets.

Requirements:

• Proven sales or telesales background is essential.
• Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and merchant conversations.
• Clear, confident, and persuasive communication with a friendly phone manner.
• Able to qualify leads and prioritise merchants most likely to take up the advance.
• Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail when recording information.
• Comfortable using digital forms, spreadsheets, and basic CRM/tracking tools.
• Trustworthy and professional when handling merchants' business information.
• Familiarity with SMEs, merchant payments, or fintech products.
• Experience selling financing, lending, or B2B financial products.
