JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to ensure operational excellence across Unilever’s European warehousing network by driving performance, cost optimization, continuous improvement, and transformation initiatives that enable our brands and supply chain operations to thrive. The position plays a key role in benchmarking best practices, enhancing efficiency, implementing automation strategies, and delivering sustainable value across multiple distribution centers in Europe. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead performance management activities for five European distribution centers, including both Unilever-operated and third-party logistics operations.
Drive year-on-year warehousing cost savings by identifying opportunities, building business cases, and ensuring successful execution of improvement initiatives.
Benchmark warehouse performance across the European network and promote best practice sharing aligned with global operating standards.
Lead continuous improvement projects, including process mapping, gap analysis, and implementation of best-in-class warehousing solutions.
Develop and support robotics and automation roadmaps to improve warehouse productivity and throughput.
Manage end-to-end projects from opportunity identification through implementation, change management, and performance tracking.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across markets to ensure successful deployment of warehousing standards and operational improvements.
Monitor warehouse operational performance and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and cost control.
Build productive relationships with external logistics and warehousing partners and support performance review processes.
Mentor and support onboarding and development of new team members when required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics operations, or a related supply chain environment.
Strong knowledge of warehousing and logistics processes with demonstrated business acumen and a customer-focused mindset.
Proven project management experience with the ability to drive change and deliver operational improvements.
Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting complex data sets to identify opportunities and improvement areas.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with professional proficiency in English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Working knowledge of Power BI and SQL.
Experience with warehouse automation, robotics initiatives, or advanced operational excellence programs.
