First Onsite is a national emergency response restoration and general contractor specializing in the return of compromised property to their pre-loss condition. Our team restores commercial, multifamily, hospitality, and educational properties from water damage, flood, fire, smoke, and natural disasters.

As we enter Hurricane, Tornado, and Wildfire season there will be a need for Temporary Project Supervisors to assist with these events. We are seeking individuals who would like to be on standby for these events before they occur and who can quickly be deployed to the location when confirmation of these events is received.

A Temporary Project Supervisor works closely with the Project Manager and requires understanding, organizing, and directing on-site work activities for a team of restoration laborers. These activities shall lead to the workmanlike completion of an assigned task within scope, budget, and schedule.

Duties:

  • Report to an assigned Project Manager
  • Responsible for most day-to-day field operations
  • Work with the team to achieve scheduled work
  • Manage a crew of approximately 10 or more laborers
  • Assist with the daily planning and activity at the project site
  • Ensures the quality of work performed is up to industry, company, and owner/client standards
  • Maintain a daily log of conditions, activities, communications, and notable events
  • Identify and assist in completing documentation as necessary
  • Verify and approve work progress and completion
  • Be attentive to material needs, types, demands, and availability to perform work
  • Respond to and address changes in the project
  • Coordinate with Project Manager on any change of conditions
  • Attend a daily job-site safety meeting
  • Always maintain attention to the safety and protection of property and workers on the site
  • Report any/all job site accidents to Health & Safety Officer and Project Manager
  • Complete administrative duties as required which include paperwork
  • Coordinate daily labor and material needs in a manner to produce the best efficiency

Skills/Requirements:

  • Communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Available for deployment within 3 days of an event
  • Ability to work in difficult conditions in a professional manner
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. or more
  • Must have steel toe boots and long pants (no shorts)
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule/work activities in the event of unavoidable delays to make up lost time
  • Leadership abilities to motivate and direct the team to perform work at a high level of output and quality
  • Quality control/assurance
  • Time management and self-direction
  • Ability to be away from home for extended periods of time

This is a critical role in humanitarian relief efforts. This job will be performed in difficult conditions around a variable schedule. This role is demanding physically and mentally. Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold, or wet, and sometimes unsanitary. Every effort is made to protect our employees using Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and other safety precautions.
