This Senior Technician, R&D/QA Engineer position will play a key role in supporting critical projects. The role is cross-functional in nature and requires strong collaboration with R&D, Design Assurance, Operations, Supplier Development Engineering, and Receiving Inspection. The primary focus is supporting successful part qualification efforts with external suppliers to meet product development and commercial launch timelines. You will work on-site in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where being proactive and taking initiative are paramount to success.
How you'll make an impact:
Support a wide range of engineering activities such as development of fixturing, test methods, and related validations for various measurement applications under minimal supervision of Engineers; and may propose technical solutions
Develop documentation and procedures in support of the inspection of components
Perform more complex work using statistical analysis tools such as capability, gage R&R, and test method comparison
Support Pilot RI and personnel in a cleanroom environment
Collect, document, and analyze test data
Order and maintain test method development fixturing / gages
Conceptualization of gage and inspection fixture designs. Create prototypes and fixture designs of high complexity
Other duties assigned by Management, including representing the department in corporate level initiatives.
What you'll need (Required):
Associate's Degree or equivalent technical degree/certificate with 2 years of experience in an R&D laboratory and/or medical device environment, OR
4 years of equivalent experience in an R&D laboratory and/or medical device environment
What else we look for (Preferred):
Experience performing test methods associated with Gage R&Rs, validations, fixturing, and/or vision systems
Experience working within a highly regulated environment
Experience within medical device, pharma, biotech, food, automotive, or aerospace industries
Substantial knowledge of GD&T and Test Method Development best practices
Substantial experience with Solid Works
Substantial experience with 3D print design
Experienced with design for machining
Experienced in programing automated inspection vision systems of high complexity
Experienced with complex system design and integration is preferred
Substantial understanding of inspection equipment in a lab environment
Ability to perform more complex troubleshooting
Good computer skills, including usage of MS Office Suite

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $53,000 to $75,000 (highly experienced).
