Job Posting for 2nd and 3rd Assistant EngineersJob DescriptionComplete Logistical Services is excited to announce the availability of positions for 2nd and 3rd Assistant Engineers. These roles are crucial for the smooth operational management of our fleet’s machinery and mechanical systems. We are seeking skilled professionals who can adapt to the dynamic demands of marine operations in a fully remote, contract/temporary capacity. This presents a unique opportunity for qualified engineers looking for flexible yet challenging work environments where their skills will be highly valued and put to extensive use.The selected candidates will be key players in our engineering team, working under the supervision of the Chief and First Assistant Engineers to ensure that all vessel systems are functional and up to code. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity and performance of our operations, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and reliability.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of main engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.Perform preventive maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.Monitor engine room equipment, gauges, alarms, and system performance during watchstanding duties.Maintain accurate engine room logs, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.Assist with bunkering (fuel transfers), lubrication, and fluid management.Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.Ensure compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, company policies, and safety management systems.Participate in emergency drills and respond to vessel emergencies, including fire, flooding, and equipment failures.Maintain housekeeping standards in the engine room and machinery spaces.Work collaboratively with deck personnel and other crew members to support vessel operations.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.RequirementsMMC with current dates.3rd or 2nd Asst. Engineer-Unlimited rating with OICEW endorsement on License.Current USCG Medical Certificate with valid National and STCW dates.Water Survival must be the T-HUET, FOET or BOSIET.Rigging cert (API-RP-2D standard).TWIC.Basic Safety Training and VPDSD.Safegulf or Rig pass.
