The Residential Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served within the residential IDD program. This position provides ongoing nursing oversight, conducts health assessments, collaborates with support teams and healthcare providers, monitors changing health needs, supports staff training and delegation activities, and helps ensure compliance with program and regulatory requirements while advocating for the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive monthly head-to-toe assessments for residential clients and document findings in Therap.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers, support teams, families, and agency leadership to ensure individuals receive appropriate care and support.
· Monitor and communicate changes in health status, needs, and medical concerns while recommending appropriate interventions.
· Advocate for individuals served and promote person-centered healthcare planning.
· Provide nursing delegation, specialized instruction, and supervision documentation as required.
· Complete Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) assessments for individuals at risk of developing tardive dyskinesia.
· Support Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST) activities, including assessments, electronic medical record maintenance, ISP participation, and transition planning meetings, when assigned.
· Deliver or support Level 1 Med Aide training in accordance with program and contractual requirements, when assigned.
· Assist with HIPS Reviews, Mortality Reviews, Nursing Reviews, and other regulatory review processes.
· Maintain accurate documentation, including monthly service logs and required service delivery records.
· Complete required Residential RN training and ongoing professional development as directed by the Department of Mental Health.
· Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
· Must be willing to obtain nursing licensure in additional states as required.
· Must be comfortable providing telehealth services to individuals served.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to remain calm and responsive during crisis situations.
· Ability to build positive relationships with funding sources, team members, individuals served, families, and members of the medical community.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with others.
Additional Qualifications:
· Successful completion of background screening, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect screening, and fingerprint check.
· Current valid driver's license.
· Acceptable driving record.
· Current automobile insurance coverage.
Physical Requirements
· Perform sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently to move objects or equipment.
· Utilize repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing, writing, and documentation throughout the workday.
· Remain seated for extended periods while completing administrative and clinical documentation tasks.
· Walk and stand occasionally as needed to perform assessments, support clients, and complete job responsibilities.
· Perform other physical activities consistent with sedentary work requirements.
