Job Title: Junior Business Process Management (BPM) Developer
Experience Level: Junior (L2 – 3–5 years)
Location: Kuala Lumpur


Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our Shared Platform team, supporting the AWF platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in Business Process Management (BPM) application development, strong Java programming skills, and SQL knowledge. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining workflow applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable business solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain BPM-based applications to support business process automation.
  • Develop application components and business workflows using Java technologies.
  • Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  • Participate in system analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver project requirements.
  • Support system integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production releases.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and support guides.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and software development best practices.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in software development.
  • Hands-on experience in Business Process Management (BPM) application development (mandatory).
  • Strong proficiency in Java development (mandatory).
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (mandatory).
  • Experience working in Linux and Windows environments (mandatory).
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Shell scripting for automation and system support.
  • Knowledge of banking systems, particularly Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solutions.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms and enterprise integration.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of application performance tuning and production support.
