The Project
ACCIONA is proud to be delivering the Clean Energy Link North (CELN) Project for Western Power – a critical infrastructure initiative supporting Western Australia’s transition to a more reliable and sustainable energy network.
The project involves the installation of new underground high-voltage transmission between Padbury and Wangara substations. This includes trenching, duct installation, cable pulling and jointing, asphalt reinstatement, and working within complex urban environments with live utilities and active traffic conditions. This is a standout opportunity to join a high-performing delivery team on essential energy infrastructure.
About Opportunity
As Senior Project Engineer, you'll coordinate and control engineering works on the Clean Energy Link North project, covering subcontractors’ management, scheduling, planning, cost control, surveying, procurement, and quality control.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll oversee project planning, execution and closure, ensuring contractual profitability and obligations are met. You'll be responsible for controlling spending, forecasting and earn value, managing subcontractors, liaising with the Client, supporting Supervisors with technical queries, administrative and HSEQS guidance, mentor junior engineers, and maintain accurate reporting on cost, time, scope and quality.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Develop construction methods and manage temporary works design, check and inspection
- Plan and control project schedules, critical path, resourcing and float
- Direct construction engineering activities per technical submissions and method statements
- Manage cost control, contract performance and financial probity across the project
- Lead the implementation of required Quality Controls onsite
- Mentor and develop site engineers, building technical capability
- Lead stakeholder engagement and communication across project stages
- Ensure compliance with HSEQS, legislative and risk management frameworks
Required Skills and Competencies
What capability & experience will you need to have:
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in large scale infrastructure, method planning, temporary works and technical submissions
- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, critical path and cost control
- Sound understanding of contract management, risk and compliance frameworks
- Proven capability mentoring site engineers and building technical teams
