At Versent, we're helping customers build secure, seamless digital experiences through modern identity solutions. We're looking for a Lead Engineer – Customer Identity (Auth0) to lead the design, implementation and delivery of large-scale Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions using Auth0.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll work with customers, architects and engineering teams to build secure, scalable authentication and authorisation platforms that support millions of users. You'll provide technical leadership across engagements, mentor engineers, and help organisations modernise their approach to customer identity.
What you'll be doing
Lead the design and implementation of Auth0-based Customer Identity (CIAM) solutions.
Architect modern authentication and authorisation patterns using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML and Federation.
Design and deliver customer registration, login, account recovery and self-service identity journeys.
Build secure integrations between Auth0 and customer applications, APIs and third-party identity providers.
Provide technical leadership across customer engagements, guiding teams through architecture, design and delivery.
Develop custom Auth0 Actions, integrations and extensibility solutions to meet complex business requirements.
Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, best practices and career development.
Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable identity solutions.
Drive engineering excellence through automation, CI/CD, testing and modern cloud-native delivery practices.
Act as a trusted advisor, helping organisations strengthen their customer identity strategy, security posture and digital experience.
What we're looking for
Strong experience designing and delivering Auth0 solutions.
Deep understanding of Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM).
Expertise in OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SSO, MFA and identity federation.
Experience integrating identity platforms with modern web, mobile and API ecosystems.
Strong engineering background across JavaScript/Node.js, TypeScript, .NET or similar technologies.
Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex customer-facing solutions.
Passion for identity, security and creating exceptional user experiences.
