About Straub Collaborative
Straub Collaborative is a leading creative production studio specializing in high-volume e-commerce photography and visual content for global brands. Our teams operate in a fast-paced environment where creativity, technical precision, and collaboration drive the production of world-class imagery.
We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to identify, prospect, and qualify new mid-market and enterprise accounts. In this role, you will build relationships with key decision-makers, conduct initial discovery, and generate qualified sales opportunities that support new client acquisition and revenue growth.
You will work closely with Revenue, Client Success, Marketing, and Production teams to connect prospective clients with Straub's capabilities and ensure qualified opportunities transition effectively through the sales process.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage targeted prospect and account lists within identified industries and market segments.
- Research prospective organizations and identify appropriate decision-makers and stakeholders responsible for areas such as e-commerce, marketing, creative operations, content production, studio operations, and digital commerce.
- Conduct proactive outbound prospecting through email, telephone, professional networking platforms, video outreach, industry events, and other approved business development channels.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospective client needs, business challenges, priorities, timelines, and potential alignment with Straub Collaborative's services.
- Qualify prospective opportunities using established sales qualification criteria and processes.
- Schedule qualified introductory meetings and facilitate the handoff of opportunities to Account Executives and Revenue leadership for continued development through the sales process.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activities, contacts, opportunities, and relevant discovery information within the Company's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Partner and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Revenue, Client Success, Marketing, and Production teams, to support the effective transition of qualified opportunities.
- Monitor relevant market and industry developments and share insights regarding prospective client needs, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities with leadership.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and client functions as assigned.
What You Bring
- Two or more years of experience in business development, sales development, outbound prospecting, or a related client-facing sales role.
- Demonstrated experience generating qualified business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting and relationship development.
- Experience using a customer relationship management (CRM) platform such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or a comparable system.
- Ability to research prospective organizations, identify relevant decision-makers, and synthesize business information to support targeted outreach.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple prospects, follow-up activities, and competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to initiate conversations and communicate professionally with prospective clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities, market conditions, and prospecting strategies.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with or selling to organizations within retail, beauty, fashion, consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, or related industries.
- Experience selling creative, production, marketing, agency, software, or technology services or solutions.
- Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, content production, photography, video, post-production, creative operations, and related service offerings.
- Familiarity with e-commerce, creative operations, digital content production, emerging technologies, or AI-enabled content production workflows.

- Candidates must be local to the New York City metropolitan area and able to commute to a Straub Collaborative studio or client meeting location as business needs require
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this non-exempt position is $29.00–$34.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable law and for uncapped performance-based commission.
At 100% achievement of established performance goals, estimated total annual earnings, including base wages and target commission, are approximately $85,000–$95,000. Actual earnings may vary based on hours worked, overtime, and individual performance.
