Pay Grade: Professional 3
The position performs transfer credit evaluations and creates standard course equivalencies and non-course transfer equivalencies. This position prepares, reviews, and updates data from Colleague, Informer and the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) to keep accurate records of courses evaluated. This position manages the Transfer Credit unit’s communication management tools and creates and manages multimedia content for the Registration & Records Office.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. *Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of communication management tools.
*Reviews courses and transcripts for proper credit awards and determines if equivalencies and/or updates are necessary in Colleague and TES.
*Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly audits of transfer credit folders to ensure workflows are being completed in a timely fashion. Reports findings and makes recommendations in coordination with other Registration & Records colleagues.
*Develops, produces, and manages multimedia content for internal and external communications in alignment with Wake Tech’s strategic goals and brand standards.
*Prepares monthly reports regarding the number of transcripts received, processed, and updated to be submitted to the Associate Dean of Student Transition Services.
*Responsible for identifying and correcting student records for which duplicate transfer credit has been awarded.
Assists with processing any back logged areas of the transfer credit evaluation team.
Provides continuous, timely, and courteous service when assisting all internal and external customers.
Remains current on transfer articulation/alliance agreements and transfer credit policies.
Assists with the record keeping and reporting of third-party prior learning agreements and CE to CU course crosswalks. This includes, but is not limited to, accounting for students who receive such credit and verifying proper guidelines are met and documented.
Identifies and suggests means for process and workflow improvement related to transfer evaluation services.
Assists students and other stakeholders in navigating transfer credit processes through various modes of communication and use of CRM.
Provides data entry and imaging of credit, non-credit and third-party awards in an accurate and timely manner to student records.
Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient with MS Office products including MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Proficient with Colleague/Datatel or other student information systems
Detail oriented and able to work with high degree of accuracy
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working with transfer credit evaluation, registrar’s office functions, academic advising, admissions, academic curriculum/programs of study, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferences:
Two years’ experience with transfer credit evaluation, registrar’s office functions, academic advising, admissions and/or working with academic curriculum/programs of study
