Job Description:
Summary
The Supervisor Engineering will develop innovative and creative logistics solutions for new and existing customers which achieves them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Essential Functions
Functions as main customer contact for Logistics design activities. Responsible for making decisions related to all logistics designs and its applicability to customer requests
Responsible for the development and management of an appropriate project plan to start-up new accounts as well as responsible for managing start-up operations, design, training and technology. Determination of material handling requirementsResponsible for external and internal customer's satisfaction requirements. Interacts constantly with the RDL technology committees to ensure that the technologies effectively support the customers without adding costs greater than value. Manages 1-2 projects
Develops and enhances an implementation methodology which can be used as a template across various industries/countriesCoaches and counsels employees on performance, sets performance standards, recommends pay actions and responsible for other HR actions. Develop and train direct reports.
Additional Responsibilities
Collects data and performs statistical analysis
Maps and documents processes
Recommends and implements process improvement
Applies company methodologies and tools to design transportation operations
Establishes performance measures
Assists in communications with internal and external customers to understand business requirements
Supports business development and helps create efficient designs and solutions processes
Determines efficient utilization of resources by analyzing driver and equipment utilization charts
Assists the Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions
Applies various Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required Undergraduate Degree in related field
Master's degree preferred Master's Degree in related field
Ten (10) years or more Relevant experience in Logistics/Transportation/Operations/Systems required
Six Sigma Certification

Compensation Information:
