Job Summary:The Retail Associate Lead position assists with providing training to Retail Associates and ensuring standards and policies are followed, while ensuring excellent guest service. This position may also perform the duties of the Retail Associate as needed.
The Details:Position Type: Full-Time, Year-RoundStart Date: starting as soon as possiblePay: $16.00/hourSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Assists in overseeing retail standards and policies are followed.
- Resolves guest issues and escalates, as needed.
- Follow opening and closing checklists.
- Provides hands-on training to new employees and assists in documenting employee’s knowledge of position and tasks.
- Examines defective article returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made.
- Perform Retail Associate duties as needed, including but not limited to:
- Greet guests within the retail store area, helping to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Assists in keeping merchandise stocked on the shelves, counters, and tables within the retail store.
- Assist guests with merchandise including, but not limited to answering questions, making suggestions based on guest’s needs, emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility, and demonstrate use of merchandise.
- Follow procedures to prepare guest sales in the register.
- Maintain assigned cashier drawer and follow all cash handling and payment procedures.
- Assists in keeping merchandise stocked on the shelves, counters, and tables within the retail store.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous retail service experience is required or may substitute having demonstrated capability to perform responsibilities.
- Previous cash handling experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to provide excellent guest service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities can change quickly and with little notice.
- Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks.
- Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.
Physical Requirements include:
- Constantly standing, walking, handling, reaching outward, lifting/carrying 10 pounds or less, and pushing/pulling 12 pounds or less.
- Frequently reaching above shoulder, lifting/carrying 11-20 pounds, and pushing/pulling 13-25 pounds.
- Occasionally climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying over 21 pounds, and pushing/pulling over 26 pounds.
