IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide. We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant. This plant produces granules for our shingle plants in a high speed, continuous, asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities within the granules manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This position leads production employees, coordinates workflow, monitors production schedules, maintains compliance with safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational goals. This role will report to the Production Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily granule production activities to meet production targets and customer requirements.
Providing leadership and coaching to production employees to meet all safety, environmental, quality, cost and service goals and objectives.
Providing leadership to drive continuous improvement through the application of methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, working directly with production team
Providing leadership to maintain a highly engaged workforce. Partners with HR and HSE in areas of performance management, employee involvement, organizational change, staffing, employee development, training, and safety.
Collaborate with other production supervisors to ensure operational consistency
Manage employee attendance, performance, discipline, and training in accordance with company policies.
Mentoring and evaluating immediate direct reports and establishing an effective team that is accountable and capable of achieving all performance goals.
Assuring plant housekeeping meets company standards, implements, and maintains a 5S program to sustain improvements.
Promote a strong safety culture where employees believe that all injuries are preventable. Investigate and prepare reports on safety near-misses, injuries, and workplace hazards.
Maintain adherence to Company and MSHA safety standards
Conduct regular crew meetings to provide production employees with the information they need to do their jobs. This includes communication of safety, quality and production changes, progress toward goals and overall plant performance.
Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Operate within standard operating and Quality procedures.
Work cooperatively with production, maintenance, and quality teams to identify and resolve production issues in an efficient manner and assist in the resolution of quality / production problems. Identify and eliminate root causes of problems and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in industrial technology, engineering, business administration, or management preferred
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Supervisory experience in high-speed, continuous process manufacturing is an asset
Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma a plus
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Proven track record of operational improvements through employee engagement and team building
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
Knowledge of Workday time and attendance system is an asset
Understanding of MSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements a plus
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and platforms.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and respirator when required.
May require rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and on-call support as needed.

The Production Supervisor is expected to comply with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times. The Production Supervisor must prioritize safety in all tasks', ensuring equipment is operated responsibly, and plant procedures are strictly followed to protect personnel, equipment, and product quality.
