The Painter is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s interior and exterior appearance through painting, finishing, touch-ups, and repair work. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, hallways, and back-of-house spaces are clean, attractive, and maintained according to brand and property standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational training in painting, finishing, or related trades preferred.
Experience
Previous painting experience in hospitality, commercial buildings, or residential work required.
Experience with drywall repair, texturing, and finishing preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Skilled in painting, taping, priming, sanding, and finishing techniques.
Ability to match paint colors, understand finishes, and perform clean, detailed work.
Knowledge of proper paint types, safety procedures, and surface preparation.
Experience with drywall patching, caulking, and minor carpentry repairs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at various heights.
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Paint guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces as needed.
Prepare surfaces by patching, sanding, cleaning, and priming.
Match colors and finishes to maintain consistent appearance throughout the property.
Complete touch-ups and repairs from daily use, wear, or damage.
Maintain equipment, brushes, rollers, and painting supplies.
Protect floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting tasks.
Assist with drywall repairs, caulking, and minor finishing work.
Track completed work orders and maintain accurate logs.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, ventilation requirements, and PPE standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by engineering leadership.
