Position Overview:
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned art instruction for students in grades 5–6 that fosters creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking.
- Develop meaningful lessons and hands-on projects that introduce students to artistic techniques, creative processes, and visual expression.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore and share their ideas.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with school staff to support student growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Art endorsement
- Elementary and/or middle school art teaching experience preferred
