Job Overview
Haffner’s is seeking a motivated and driven District Manager in Training to develop the skills and experience needed to successfully lead multiple convenience store locations. This role is designed for high-potential leaders who are eager to grow their careers and gain hands-on experience in multi-unit retail operations.
The District Manager in Training will work closely with District Managers and Store Managers to learn all aspects of district operations, including employee development, customer service, sales growth, operational excellence, and financial performance. Through structured training, coaching, and real-world experience, this position provides a clear pathway to a District Manager role within our growing organization.

Compensation:
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications/. For the purpose of this role, the minimum salary opportunity is:
PAY- $68,000-$78,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program designed to prepare for a future District Manager role.
- Support the operations of multiple convenience store locations within an assigned district.
- Learn company policies, procedures, and operational standards while helping ensure compliance across locations.
- Partner with District and Store Managers to drive customer satisfaction, sales growth, and operational excellence.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of store team members.
- Observe and learn how to analyze store performance, financial results, and key business metrics.
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.
- Support inventory management, merchandising initiatives, and loss prevention efforts.
- Assist in conducting store visits, audits, and operational reviews.
- Develop leadership skills through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on management experience.
- Address customer concerns and support the delivery of outstanding service.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, convenience store, food service, or multi-unit supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a desire to advance into multi-unit management.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a positive guest experience.
- Ability to learn and apply retail operational processes and company standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to analyze information and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to receive coaching, learn new skills, and accept increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and reporting tools.
A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability and flexibility to travel daily between store locations.

Requirements
· This is an exempt position requiring a minimum of 45 hours per week.
· The Candidate must be available for a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends as the business dictates.
