Position: Configuration Manager Level 2

Tasks:

• Planning configuration within projects and product teams, and applying configuration management processes in accordance with this plan
• Supporting business units and projects in the application of configuration management
• Identifying, planning and defining the product structure for hardware and software, including the allocation of manufacturer part numbers/material numbers for in-house components within the project
• Participating in decision-making within the change control board
• Managing change management within projectsEstablishing guidelines for the implementation of changes
• Planning and conducting internal and external configuration audits within projects
• Configuration record-keeping and documentation, as well as related reporting (analyses, change overviews)
• Defining so-called configuration statuses and monitoring them
• Approving project documentation
• Defining the monitoring of build statuses
• Safeguarding development results and archiving product-related documents
• Providing information on the status of delivered products in relation to material numbers and their build status
• Improving and maintaining the configuration management system in SAP
• Planning and delivering training courses in configuration management

Requirements:

• A completed Bachelor's degree in engineering or a state-certified technician qualification
• Several years' experience in configuration management
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and SAP in the areas of materials management and configuration and change management
• In-depth knowledge of configuration processes
• Current CM2/CMPIC 1–4, 10 certification
• Very good command of English and German (spoken and written)
  
• Willingness to travel worldwide
