Digital Strategy and Research Consultant

Citi is looking for a Digital Strategy and Research Consultant to join its Treasury and Trade Solutions Digital Analysis and Insights team — a role at the intersection of strategy, market research, and quantitative analysis that directly shapes how Citi positions its digital business globally. Working within a high-impact team that partners with senior leadership and regional digital teams, you will own strategy engagements end-to-end, translating complex market dynamics into clear, actionable points of view. Responsibilities

• Lead strategy engagements for the Treasury and Trade Solutions Marketing business, developing structured narratives and quantitative analyses that inform senior decision-making.

• Design and execute market sizing exercises, scenario analyses, and business case frameworks to support strategic recommendations across the digital banking and payments space.

• Break down complex business problems into structured research workplans, then independently carry out primary research including stakeholder interviews and market surveys.

• Monitor developments across the digital financial services landscape and translate emerging trends into well-reasoned, evidence-based points of view.

• Partner with digital teams across multiple regions to benchmark Citi's product offerings and deliver outside-in competitive perspectives.

• Present findings and strategic recommendations clearly to cross-functional partners and senior leadership, adapting communication to the audience.

• Contribute to team capability building by coaching colleagues and supporting broader organizational development initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3 to 5 years of post-MBA experience in strategy consulting, market research, or financial services.

• Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis including market sizing, business model evaluation, and financial statement interpretation.

• Analytical capability to construct and defend quantitative arguments through structured reasoning, case-based thinking, and data interpretation.

• Ability to manage and deliver multiple complex projects concurrently without close supervision.

• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present structured arguments to senior stakeholders in written and verbal formats.

• Practical experience in corporate banking, financial services, or a digital domain such as e-commerce or digital services.

• Experience designing primary research instruments such as structured surveys or interview guides for business or market insight purposes.
