As part of our Lumber Yard team at our Winnipeg Distribution Centre, you will work in a team environment reporting directly to our Shipping Supervisor. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling customer orders, serving customers in the yard, maintaining the presentation and organization of warehouse materials and loading customer trucks. This is a full-time position at our Winnipeg location.Expectations: Loading and unloading of building materials in a safe and timely manner Assist in loading orders onto customer trucks Periodic inventory counts (quarterly) and spot checks Assist in keeping a tidy and organized lumber yard and warehouseCompliance to all work safety rules and regulations Politeness to customers and truck drivers who are picking up or dropping off ordersServe customers as they enter the yard following process and protocolsLoad and unload building materials operating a forkliftPrepare, pick and pack customer orders as requiredIdeal Attributes:High School DiplomaForklift CertificateMinimum of two years lumber yard and/or warehouse experience is a definite assetAbility to lift up to 80 pounds  Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset  Able to work in outdoor conditions Flexibility with start and finish times Reliable and punctualSelf-Motivated and able to work without supervisionAdditional Information:Group Benefit Plan availableRRSP Contribution availableBonus ProgramOpportunities for advancement within the companyCompensation based on experience
