Description
Responsibilities:
- Direct and monitor production activities during assigned shift to meet output, quality, and safety targets.
- Allocate labor and resources based on production priorities.
- Ensure equipment is operated according to established procedures.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate when necessary.
- Provide daily direction, coaching and support to technicians.
- Train new employees on processes, equipment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, production reports and incident documentation.
- Communicate all necessary information to affected departments.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE in an industrial setting.
- Computation of basic math skills.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent communication.
- Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection provided).
- Ability to lift, carry, and move pallets and materials weighing up to 85 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Able to stand for long periods while completing repair tasks and transporting pallets.
- Regular use of power tools including repetitive operation of nail guns, hammers and saws.
- Requires strong visual attention to identify pallet defects and perform precise repair work.
- Must have steel toed footwear in good repair.
