What You Will Do

• Design and build scalable backend systems and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js
• Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and query performance
• Develop infrastructure for containerized AI agent execution environments
• Build and scale real-time ML inference pipelines and recommendation systems
• Own features end-to-end, from problem definition to production deployment
• Collaborate closely with founders to define product direction and technical architecture
• Contribute across the stack as needed to support product and customer needs
• Ship quickly in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

Ideal Candidate Background

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience (startup experience strongly preferred)
• Strong backend expertise with TypeScript/Node.js and PostgreSQL
• Experience building production-grade systems and APIs
• Background in early-stage or high-growth startup environments
• Demonstrated ownership of features or systems end-to-end
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in ambiguity
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco

• Experience with ML infrastructure, model serving, or real-time inference systems
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and distributed systems
• Exposure to AI/LLM systems or agent-based architectures
• Founder or founding engineer experience
• Strong product intuition and ability to move quickly
