The Astor Learning Center (ALC) is hiring Special Education Teachers to join our supportive and collaborative team. We're searching for passionate, energetic individuals to join our team. The ALC is a therapeutic special education school for children facing educational, emotional, and behavioral challenges serving children in small class sizes with a maximum number of 80 children.

What You Will Do:

· Create a welcoming classroom where children are eager to return to learn each day.

· Master the art of classroom management, ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.

· Document student progress and communicate with parents (because teamwork extends beyond the classroom!).

· Work with outside providers to enhance the student’s learning experience.

Requirements

What You Will Need:

• Initial/Permanent NYSED Special Education Teacher certification. 
• BA/MS Experience preferred.
