Overview

Works closely with the Chief of staff to coordinate tasks for the Yale football operations. You will play a crucial role in helping our football program run smoothly and efficiently. We are seeking a highly organized and passionate individual to join our team and support our coaches and players. Your expertise and attention to detail will be key in ensuring our team's success on and off the field. Required Skills and Abilities

As the Football Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting coaches and players with various tasks and responsibilities, helping with game preparations, organizing practice schedules, managing supplies, and providing support during practices and games. Tasks include. but not limited to, film set-up, stocking nutrition center, creating meal schedules, contact with hotels regarding meals, liaison with team parent group.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Oversees a team sport within the parameters of the structure and regulations of the Ivy League, other athletic leagues for the particular sport, Club Sports policies and procedures, and the University. 2. Formulates and sets policies governing the strategies of play and conditioning of athletes and ensures such goals are known to the team members. 3. Trains and conditions the athletes; monitors the mental and physical condition of athletes and changes training methods, if warranted. Independently determines and shapes the strategy, technical aspects, and game preparation; teaches team concepts. 4. Assists with such areas fund-raising; performance of athletes; contest management; travel plans; budgetary concerns, and other administrative details required to carry out contests or practices. 5. Oversees and directs activities of Assistant Coach, trainer, team officers, as applicable and within established guidelines. 6. Promotes a positive image of the sports program at the University, for alumni, and on a regional, national, and international level. 7. Mentors student administrators to develop as better team leaders. 8. Develops a short- and long-term vision to develop and strengthen the team, on and off the field. 9. Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, serving as an officer/liaison to the board overseeing the applicable league. 10. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma Required License(s) or Certification(s) Professional certification in water safety, advanced life-saving, firearms, health services, first aid, CPR or other areas may be required for specific sports. Successful background check and three character references.
