Job Description

As a Security Officer NYS License Patrol Role in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first and brings innovative thinking to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badge or credential checks when required, and report access-related issues to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support opening and closing activities, observe cash-handling or high-traffic areas from an assigned post, and communicate security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
