Job Description:

Coordinator of Community Outreach and Engagement

Who We Are

Seattle Pacific University is a Christian university fully committed to engaging the culture and changing the world by graduating people of competence and character, becoming people of wisdom, and modeling grace-filled community.

Student Ministries supports students as they grow in faith, explore vocation, engage in Christian community, and serve others. Through local partnerships, service opportunities, discipleship, and leadership development, Student Ministries seeks to help students connect their faith with meaningful action in the world.

What We Need

Seattle Pacific University is seeking a Coordinator of Community Outreach and Engagement to support student engagement in meaningful service opportunities throughout the greater Seattle area.

Working closely with the Director of Student Ministries, this position provides leadership for SPU's Urban Involvement program, supports student leaders, develops community partnerships, and helps create opportunities for students to engage in service, learning, and relationship-building with local organizations and churches.

The ideal candidate is passionate about student development, community engagement, Christian service, and mentoring student leaders. This role requires strong organizational skills, relationship-building ability, and a commitment to helping students connect faith, learning, and service. This position is based on SPU's Seattle campus and requires occasional evening and weekend participation in student programs and events.

In this role, the employee brings their skills, gifts, and professional expertise to work that matters—serving students, colleagues, and the broader University community in ways that reflect SPU’s values and purpose. To that end, all University employees are required to be aligned with and supportive of SPU's Statement of Faith and its derivative policies and lifestyle expectations.
