Overview
Thom Child & Family Services is seeking a Group Assistant to join their Early Intervention program team at Thom Anne Sullivan Center in Lowell, MA. The position works 23.5 hours per week (M,T,Th,F 8:30-12:30, Wednesday 8:30-4:00) assisting in center-based or community-based child, parent/child, parent support, or parent education groups. Responsibilities include participating in safe transition of children on/off buses, greeting and interacting with children and families, supporting group activities, promoting communication with team members, maintaining inventory of supplies, implementing IFSP goals, maintaining cleanliness of group space, and helping prepare bulletin boards. Requires high school equivalency with minimum 3 years experience in Early Intervention or similar program plus 30 hours of in-service training/workshops. Must be able to lift 30 pounds, maintain current driver's license, and have CPR certification. Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese preferred.
