**This position qualifies for an appointment incentive of $13,500, to the selected applicant who agrees to work for the facility for a minimum of twelve (12) months**

This position will oversee the operations and staffing during assigned shifts ensuring efficiency across the entire hospital. This position organizes, directs, and controls the operation of a 24/7 Psychiatric Hospital serving adult psychiatric patients. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, independent decision making and strong leadership to ensure that staffing levels meet regulatory and operational requirements as needed to maintain quality patient care. This position assists with policy development, coaches employees, and ensures compliance with all pertinent regulatory bodies along with the responsibility for the care and safety of all patients at the hospital. Performs other related duties as assigned.
This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Candidates must successfully pass a background screening.

Licensure/Certifications: | Current West Virginia licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). |
Experience: | Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experiences as a Registered Nurse. |
Internal Applicants Only: | Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Registered Nurse and/or a specialty nursing classification (i.e. Charge Nurse, Infection Control Nurse, QAPI Nurse, etc.) may substitute for the required experience. |

Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides quality patient care and a safe environment for its patients, who are often committed to the hospital through civil commitment or, in the case of forensic patients, ordered through the judicial system. As a training site for future health care professionals, Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides on-site learning experiences for educating physicians, nurses, practical nurses, psychologists, counselors, health care administrators, technicians, and supportive services personnel. The hospital holds accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is certified by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
